Huawei Ascend 310P / Atlas 300I requires CANN+MindIE - hobbyist trap

Real serving hardware that can run LLMs, but requires heavyweight enterprise tooling: driver/toolkit version pinning, a model-conversion pipeline, and primarily Chinese-language docs.

CANN/MindIE is an enterprise stack, not a download-and-run SDK; the single 24GB card is a density product (splits into up to 7 virtual NPUs) - a per-slot throughput story, not a fast single-user card. The one public datapoint (~150 tok/s Llama-3) is a multi-chip 96GB Duo, not a single card.

Budget serious integration time, or buy anything CUDA/ROCm. Not plug-and-play under any reading.

Taobao secondary price ~$265 (24GB Pro) is tempting on paper - 204.8 GB/s LPDDR4x - but the stack pain is the real cost.
