Closes the hybrid-Mamba gap: the collection's hybrid row is Qwen3.5-35B-A3B, which keeps 10 of 40 layers as full attention. Granite 4.0 H Tiny keeps 4 of 40, and it is a small model aimed at a single consumer GPU. REDUCTION VERSUS FULL GQA ON THE SAME SKELETON: 81,920 / 8,192 = 10.0x, equal to 40/4 because the attention layers are ordinary GQA with no window and no latent compression. ABSOLUTE CACHE AT 128K: 8,192 x 131,072 = 1,073,741,824 bytes = 1.00 GiB. The same context with attention on every layer would be 10.0 GiB, which on a 16 GB card is the difference between the cache fitting beside the weights and the cache taking the card. The Mamba-2 state is real but constant: 36 layers x 48 heads x 128 state x 64 head dim is on the order of tens of MB once, not per token, so it does not change the 128K comparison. No quality number is attached; the hybrid pattern is the trained architecture, not a post-hoc compression. CAVEAT: an engine that does not implement the hybrid cache and instead allocates KV for all 40 layers pays the 81,920 B/token rate. The model record's own note already warns about that class of mistake.
