FlexGen: High-Throughput Generative Inference of Large Language Models with a Single GPU

Added as the load-bearing 2023 offload-scheduling paper: the repo has PowerInfer-style consumer-GPU offload and Tetra, but nothing that formalises offload scheduling as a joint policy over compute-vs-transfer-vs-cache-placement, which is the actual mechanism behind why a single GPU can serve a big model at all. Venue ICML 2023, verified against the PMLR v202 table of contents (v202 confirmed as the 40th ICML, 23-29 July 2023, by reading the volume landing page header rather than assuming the volume-to-year mapping). AUTHOR AND AFFILIATION CORRECTION made in this pass: an earlier draft of this record carried a wrong author list and a wrong affiliation pair (University of Chicago / ETH Zürich), written from memory rather than read off the paper. Both were replaced from the actual PDF first page, whose author line and footnote block read verbatim: '1Stanford University 2UC Berkeley 3ETH Zurich 4Yandex 5HSE University 6Meta 7Carnegie Mellon University' over authors Ying Sheng, Lianmin Zheng, Binhang Yuan, Zhuohan Li, Max Ryabinin, Daniel Y. Fu, Zhiqiang Xie, Beidi Chen, Clark Barrett, Joseph E. Gonzalez, Percy Liang, Christopher Re, Ion Stoica, Ce Zhang. Recording this because it is exactly the class of error the repo's identifier discipline exists to catch, and it was caught only by reading the PDF. Note OpenAlex returns NO institutions for this paper, which is why the affiliation field could not be filled from an API and had to come from the PDF.
