Ampere and later: up to 7 GPU instances, each with separate and isolated paths through the entire memory system - on-chip crossbar ports, L2 cache banks, memory controllers and DRAM address buses are all assigned uniquely to one instance. Positions MIG as the mechanism for multi-tenant CSP use and for QoS/fault isolation across VMs, containers or processes. This is the strongest isolation granularity the hardware actually offers.
