PROBE-BEHAVIOUR EVIDENCE, the same class of negative as the repo's rent-cerebras-api-token-pricing-negative lesson. Four Intel URLs in data/sources/ returned HTTP 403 to every static probe in this sweep and are recorded as indeterminate, NOT dead: intel.com/products/details/processors/ai-accelerators/gaudi.html, intel.com/products/sku/241598/.../specifications.html (Arc B580), intel.com/products/sku/245797/.../specifications.html (Arc Pro B70), and thailand.intel.com/.../datasheet-b60-gpu.pdf. Three independent source records already carry this exact warning ('a plain HTTP probe from an unauthenticated datacenter IP gets HTTP 403 Access Denied from intel.com ... that is anti-bot gating, NOT evidence the document moved or is dead'), and this sweep CONFIRMS those records rather than contradicting them: 403 from a datacenter IP is a statement about the prober, not about the document. A 403 is therefore excluded from the dead list by rule, not by judgement. THE PDF IS ALSO 403-GATED, so the Arc Pro B60 datasheet could not be re-verified for silent revision at all this pass - the one vendor spec sheet in the sweep I could not check, and it is named here rather than left to read as verified. WHAT DID verify: vb-intel-arc-pro-b70-ark-spec-table-reverify re-fetched its ARK rows in a rendered browser session on 2026-10-04 and they matched. THE STRUCTURAL POINT, which generalises past Intel: a vendor that gates its spec pages cannot be checked by the same probe that checks an ungated one, so 'checked, unchanged' and 'not checkable' must be recorded as different states. This repo now uses three - live / redirected / indeterminate-blocked - and reserves DEAD for a 404 confirmed by two independent probes and confirmed to be a real missing page rather than a soft-404 shell. SOFT-404 IS ITS OWN TRAP AND THREE OF THE NINE DEAD URLS ARE SOFT: itcreations.com/gpu-sales returns 97KB of HTML that loads '/build/pages/404.css' and declares itself canonical at the dead URL; nvidia.com RTX 5070 returns 365KB of marketing chrome around a 'Page Not Found | NVIDIA' title; qualcomm.com returns 7.6KB with an empty title. A status code alone would have mis-scored all three, and a length threshold alone would have called them live.
