Crossref bibliographic query for 'Efficiently Modeling Long Sequences with Structured State Spaces' - returns NO JMLR entry (negative result)

A NEGATIVE result recorded as a source because the record it refutes is a factual error that has been in the repo across two waves. papers/s4-structured-state-spaces asserted 'Venue is JMLR 2022, confirmed via Semantic Scholar', and the task's own brief reports that re-querying Semantic Scholar shows it NEVER said that. Crossref's bibliographic query for the exact title returns six works and NOT ONE of them is S4 or a JMLR article. The returned set is: 'Chemical Language Modeling with Structured State Spaces' (ChemRxiv, 10.26434/chemrxiv-2023-jwmf3-v2, posted-content); 'Kalman-SSM: Modeling Long-Term Time Series With Kalman Filter Structured State Spaces' (IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 10.1109/lsp.2024.3457862, journal-article); an unrelated chromosome-assembly paper (10.1101/345983); 'Bi-branch sequential picking strategy for efficiently resolving repetitive sequences in surgical...' (Medical Imaging 2026, 10.1117/12.3086006); 'Diagonal State Space Models are as Effective as Structured State Space Models' (NeurIPS 35, 10.52202/068431-1670); and 'Structured State Space Duality (SSD) for Robust Mechanical Fault Diagnosis: A Mamba-2 Baseline' (SSRN, posted-content). So there is no JMLR deposit for this paper and no deposit of any kind for it: S4 was published at ICLR 2022 and ICLR proceedings are not Crossref-deposited under a DOI that this query surfaces, which is exactly why the false JMLR claim could sit in the repo unchallenged - the honest venue was never findable in Crossref, and an agent that recorded the ABSENCE of a Crossref hit as a JMLR presence inverted the meaning of its own evidence. The correct venue is established separately and three ways: the arXiv API comment field for 2111.00396 reads 'ICLR 2022 (Outstanding Paper HM)'; OpenReview api v1 returns venue 'ICLR 2022 Oral' with venueid 'ICLR.cc/2022/Conference' for the exact title with authors Albert Gu, Karan Goel, Christopher Re; and the OpenReview DBLP mirror for the same title returns 'ICLR 2022' with venueid dblp.org/conf/ICLR/2022. See sco-openreview-venue-search and w6p-arxiv-api-duplicate-id-confirmation.
