The green-list/red-list scheme: hash the previous token, seed a PRNG, split the vocabulary in half, softly promote green tokens during sampling, detect with a one-proportion z-test. Section 1.2 states the low-entropy caveat explicitly - perturbing low-entropy completions produces high-perplexity unexpected tokens, and human and machine completions are near-identical there.
